Your Writing Dept, Inc. holds a three-year contract as the on-call proofreaders for the California Office of State Publishing. While many of the projects under this contract have been large-volume proofreading of historical legislative material, the most critical projects are the Voter Information Guides that are send to all California voters prior to state and national elections. The Office of State Publishing receives public display copies of ballot information including proposition arguements and information about candidates. This text is then typeset for publication. Prior to being sent to the presses, multiple proofreading cycles must be completed per law. Your Writing Dept, Inc. is a key contributor in the process to make sure text is correct when the finished publication goes out to the voters.
